A Working Transformer built by the Japanese

Oh My God !! What am I Saying a Working Transformer ??
Yes You Heard it Right. Turning Imagination to Reality.

I am talking about a four-foot tall working transformer built by two Japanese Engineers.
Read it aloud. Check the stunning images below for better understanding :

Children of the Eighties, rejoice! A couple of Japanese engineers have designed and built a 4-foot tall functioning Transformer of your adolescent dreams.

The machine, which is called the J-deite Quarter, has the ability to go from robot to sports car, weighs 30kg, and walks at a speed of 1 kilometre an hour. In car form, however, it can get up to a more sprightly 10 kilometer an hour.

SPECIFICATIONS :

Height in robot mode/length in vehicle mode: 1.3 m,
Weight: 35 kg, maximum battery power: 3 kw,
Operating time: 1 hour, number of seats: 2,
Controlled by V-Sido OS.
Power source: servo motor manufactured byFutaba Corp.[Robot Mode SPEC]
Maximum walking speed: 1 km/h, gripping weight: 0.1 kg.[Vehicle Mode SPEC]
Maximum traveling speed: 10km/h, minimum road clearance: 40 mm.

DEVELOPERS FUTURE PLANNING :

Developers Kenji Ishida and Watur Yoshizaki – of the firms Brave Robotics and Asratec – aren't stopping there either. The 'Quarter' in 'J-deite Quarter' hints at the duo's ultimate aim: Building a 16ft tall Transformer car by 2020. Plans to build a fully operational Transformer car that you can drive around in, calls itself Optimus Prime and, as a leader, displays authoritative yet compassionate traits, has yet to be announced.

The Japanese group says it plans to complete a second model called “J-deite Half” measuring around 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) by 2016 before they introduce the final, 5 meters long (16.4 feet) 1:1 scale version in 2020!
Running on a proprietary software system called V-Sido OS, the current J-deite Quarter prototype weighs in at just 35 kg (77 pounds) and has a 3 kW battery that offers a 1 hour operating time, depending on if it walks at speeds of up to 1km/h (0.6 mph) in robot mode or drives at speeds of up to 10km/h (6mph) in car mode.
Its creators haven't shed any light on what they plan to do with the robot once they've achieved their goal of building a life-size version, but you can bet that many loaded pockets will be interested in one.

Next up for Ishida and Yoshizaka is an 8ft tall version of J-deite, which is scheduled for release in 2016. More specs and information is available on the project's website.
